What I Do

How often do we long for a sense of belonging and wholeness – a solid connection to ourselves and to the ones we love? Life is all about relationships, starting with our birth or adoptive family, and broadening as we grow. But there’s no manual or one-size-fits-all solution for how to navigate the journey. I am here to offer a safe place where you can bring things that you are worried or wondering about as well as things that are causing you and/or your loved ones pain and distress.  I bring my presence, my expertise, and a lifetime of experience to our work together and my approach is nonjudgmental, collaborative, and individualized.

Individuals and couples who come to see me are often grappling with a variety of issues such as: Depression, Anxiety, Relationship Distress, Parenting Struggles, Combining Families, Work Issues, Affairs, Divorce, Grief and Loss and Life Transitions. I also see couples for premarital counseling and sex therapy.

My Background

I have a BA from Carleton College and a Masters in Counseling Psychology with Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. I have received specialized training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) and am currently an AAMFT supervisor in training. I am an AASECT certified sex therapist and a trained Family Constellations practitioner. I completed my MFT internship in the Outpatient Mental Health Department at Ryther Center for Children and Families in Seattle, WA, where I counseled children and their families coping with a range of mental health and behavioral issues including ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression and trauma.
